Bangladesh 2013

July 11, 2013

Dear TATENDA fans-

Hello from hot and humid New England. In one week’s time, Jackie and I will be in the air enroute to Istanbul and then to Dhaka (see photo). I wanted to send out a brief Update to remind of our imminent departure.  It will take us 24 hours to get there and we hear the temps are in the 100+ degrees with very high humidity. Sheesh.

We always bring little gifts for each of the retreatants and this time we are bringing two wonderful gifts, appropriate for the record heat and humidity that we will meet there. First, we are bringing beautiful little handkerchiefs donated by Regina Nast of Tucson, one for each woman. Secondly, we are bringing little hand-held battery-powered fans, donated by our experienced Board President, Karen Duffy. She knows what we are going to.  We are so grateful for these fabulous gifts which will prompt appreciation and laughter at our retreats.

Please watch for our Updates and we will try to get them off to you as regularly as we can. Watch for something from Sr Marty Dermody, SC. She is at control central for communications.

Thanks again for your prayers and donations to make this work. We are indebted to all of you and happy to have you travel with us in this circle of gratitude that we enter into.

Peace,

Nicki Verploegen and Jackie Dombrowski
